The KCET 2026 mock allotment result will be published on July 6, 2026 after 11 AM at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. The mock allotment is not your final seat - it's KEA's preview showing where you'd land based on your current option entry. You have a 3-day window (July 6 at 2 PM to July 9 at 10 AM) to add, change, or delete your college preferences before the Round 1 final allotment on July 15, 2026.

What the Mock Allotment Result Means

Three outcomes are possible:

  • You got your first choice: Good sign. Review whether a better option should still be added above it before the modification window closes.
  • You got a lower preference: Your higher choices are filling fast at your rank. Consider adjusting your list during the modification window.
  • No allotment: Your options don't have colleges that fill at your rank. Add more colleges in the modification window using the KCET Predictor.

What to Do After Checking Mock Allotment

Happy with the result?

No change needed. Your options stay as-is. Round 1 final on July 15 may give you the same result or better if higher-ranked students vacate seats above you.

Want a better college or branch?

Check last year's closing ranks using our KCET College Predictor. If a college typically fills above your rank, add it during the modification window. Don't remove colleges you've already listed - only add above them.

Got no allotment?

Add 10-15 colleges across different cities and branches that filled above your rank last year. Leave no modification window unused - it's your last chance before Round 1 final.

KCET 2026 Mock Allotment - Frequently Asked Questions

Is mock allotment the same as final allotment?

No. Mock allotment is a preview KEA runs on current option entries. The final Round 1 allotment on July 15 is the actual seat - requiring fee payment at Karnataka Bank to confirm.

What if my mock allotment shows a college I don't want?

Use the modification window (July 6-9) to add better colleges above it or rearrange preferences. You can't delete your entire list - but you can push unwanted options lower or add better ones above.

Will my mock allotment college definitely be my Round 1 allotment?

Not necessarily. Between mock allotment and Round 1 final, some students withdraw - freeing up seats. Your final allotment on July 15 depends on your rank, updated option list, and live seat availability.

I didn't get an allotment in mock. Should I panic?

No. It means your current options are too selective for your rank. Use the modification window to add colleges from the KCET Predictor that match your rank range.

What happens if I don't modify after mock allotment?

Your original option entry stays unchanged. KEA runs Round 1 on July 15 using whatever you locked originally. Not modifying is valid if you're happy - but you can't change after July 9 at 10 AM.

When does Round 2 counselling start?

Round 2 typically starts in August 2026 after Round 1 reporting. Exact dates will be published by KEA at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in after Round 1 concludes.
