NEET 2026-27 Karnataka Cutoffs
Government MBBS colleges in Karnataka (BMCRI, MMCRI) typically require NEET scores of 580-620 for General Merit. Private MBBS colleges accept 450-560. BAMS colleges accept 350-450. Nursing colleges accept 380-480 for General category.
NEET 2026 Karnataka — What This Predictor Tells You (And What It Doesn't)
This tool uses actual 2025 KEA counselling closing scores for Karnataka's MBBS, BDS, BAMS and Nursing colleges. When you enter 550 marks and select General Merit, you see colleges that historically closed at 530–570 marks — a realistic window, not a guess. Safe means you're 20+ marks above the college's 2025 cutoff. Moderate means you're within 20 marks either side. Reach means you're 20–60 marks below — possible through management quota or later rounds.
What the predictor doesn't cover: government college seats require Karnataka domicile and separate KEA registration. A college showing as "Safe" at your score doesn't guarantee a seat — competition in 2026 will differ from 2025 based on total NEET applicants, seat matrix changes and number of candidates who register for KEA counselling. Use these results as a planning baseline, not a guarantee.

NEET 2026 Karnataka — College Predictor Guide by Score
This NEET 2026 college predictor covers 145+ Karnataka medical colleges across MBBS, BDS, BAMS and Nursing. Data is based on actual 2025 KEA counselling closing scores — not estimates. Enter your score above to get instant results. Below is a score-wise breakdown to help you understand what's realistic before you predict.
NEET Score 580–620 — Government MBBS Within Reach
A NEET 2026 score between 580 and 620 marks puts you in contention for Karnataka's government medical colleges. Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute (BMCRI) closed at approximately 601 marks GM in 2025 Round 1. Mysore Medical College (MMCRI) closed at 577 marks GM. ESI Medical College Bangalore closed around 566 marks. These are NEET scores required — not AIR ranks.
At this score band, register for both KEA state quota (kea.kar.nic.in) and MCC All India Quota (mcc.nic.in) immediately when results are declared. Government MBBS fees are Rs 64,350 to Rs 1,53,571 per year — a fraction of private college costs. SC/ST and OBC students need approximately 80–120 fewer marks for the same seats.
District government colleges — MIMS Mandya, GIMS Kalaburagi, RIMS Raichur, GMC Karwar, CIMS Chamarajanagar — close between 540 and 570 marks GM. Don't skip them because of location preference. A government MBBS seat anywhere in Karnataka saves Rs 80–100 lakh compared to private management quota.
NEET Score 500–579 — Private MBBS GM Quota is Realistic
Between 500 and 579 marks, government seats become difficult — but private college GM quota seats are accessible. MS Ramaiah Medical College Bangalore closes around 492–565 marks across rounds. KIMS Hubli closes around 480–540 marks. JSS Mysuru, AJ Institute Mangalore and Shri Siddhartha Tumkur all fall in this range at different score points.
Government quota fees in private colleges are Rs 1,09,350 to Rs 1,53,571 per year — total 4-year cost Rs 4.4 to 6.1 lakh. Fill your KEA choice list carefully: government colleges first, then private GM quota in order of preference. Use the predictor above to see which specific colleges your score reaches.
NEET Score 400–499 — Management Quota or BAMS Government
Between 400 and 499 marks, two realistic paths exist: management quota private MBBS, or BAMS government colleges. Management quota is 15% of private seats, allocated through KEA at MFAC-regulated fees of Rs 20–27 lakh per year — total 5.5-year investment Rs 1.1 to 1.5 crore.
BAMS government colleges are the smarter financial choice at this score range. Karnataka has 75 BAMS colleges — government seats close at 350–450 marks GM. Government BAMS gives full medical practice rights at Rs 20–40 lakh total (vs Rs 1.5 crore for private MBBS management quota), with growing international demand in Europe and the Middle East.
NEET Score 300–399 — BAMS Private, BDS, BSc Nursing
Between 300 and 399 marks, private BAMS colleges are accessible. BDS private colleges accept 350–480 marks — dental practice has transformed with cosmetic dentistry, implantology and digital dentistry creating strong earning potential for BDS + MDS specialists.
BSc Nursing from a government college in Karnataka is not a settling choice — it's positioning for international healthcare careers. Karnataka nursing graduates are actively recruited by UK, Canadian, Australian and Gulf hospitals at Rs 3–8 lakh per month. Select BDS or Nursing in the predictor above for college-wise results.
Below NEET Qualifying Cutoff
The qualifying cutoff for General category is approximately 130–145 marks (50th percentile). For SC/ST/OBC it's approximately 107–115 marks (40th percentile). Below these, no MBBS, BDS or BAMS seat is possible anywhere in India. Options include BSc Allied Health Sciences, BSc Medical Lab Technology, or re-appearing for NEET 2027. There is no attempt limit. Most drop-year students improve 80–120 marks targeting Biology (90 questions, directly NCERT-based, highest return on preparation time).
How the NEET Predictor Works — Data and Methodology
The CollegesInfo NEET 2026 predictor uses actual 2025 KEA NEET counselling closing scores for Karnataka medical colleges — not national AIR ranks. Karnataka's KEA counselling stores cutoff as NEET marks out of 720, not All India Rank, which is why the predictor asks for your NEET score rather than AIR.
Safe means your score is 20+ marks above the college's 2025 closing score — high probability of allotment if you fill that college in your KEA choice list. Moderate means within 20 marks either side — realistic, especially in Round 2 or mop-up. Reach means 20–60 marks below — possible through management quota or later rounds.
| Category | Marks Relaxation vs GM | Example (BMCRI) |
|---|---|---|
| General Merit (GM) | Baseline | ~601 marks |
| OBC (2A/2B/3A/3B) | ~40–60 marks less | ~540–560 marks |
| SC | ~80–100 marks less | ~500–520 marks |
| ST | ~100–120 marks less | ~480–500 marks |
Always select your correct category for accurate results. OBC, SC and ST students will have more colleges available at their score than the GM view shows. 2026 cutoffs may shift 5–20 marks from 2025 based on exam difficulty and applicant numbers — use results as a planning baseline, not a guarantee.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this NEET predictor free?
Yes — completely free, no login, no registration. CollegesInfo.org receives no referral fees from any college.
What data does this predictor use?
Actual 2025 KEA NEET counselling closing scores for Karnataka MBBS, BDS, BAMS and Nursing colleges — the same data KEA uses for allotment.
Score vs AIR — which matters more for Karnataka?
For KEA 85% state quota, NEET score (marks out of 720) is the primary factor — KEA's merit list is based on marks, not national AIR. For MCC 15% AIQ, national AIR determines competitiveness.
Can students from other states use this predictor?
This predictor covers KEA state quota seats — Karnataka domicile only (7-year study certificate required). Students from other states can assess deemed university options (Manipal, Yenepoya, RUAS) and MCC AIQ government college seats.
My score shows no colleges — what should I do?
Try a different course — if MBBS shows nothing, try BAMS or Nursing. If no course shows results, your score may be below the qualifying cutoff (130–145 marks GM, 107–115 SC/ST/OBC). WhatsApp +91 6363 330 233 for guidance.
How accurate are the 2026 predictions?
2026 cutoffs typically shift 5–20 marks from 2025. Treat Safe as high probability, Moderate as realistic, Reach as worth trying through management quota or later rounds. Verify against official KEA data after 2026 counselling closes.
