Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) is a 5.5-year homoeopathy medical degree (including 1 year internship) for becoming a homoeopathic physician. Admission is through NEET UG. Karnataka has 14 homoeopathy colleges with fees from Rs 30,000 (government) to Rs 2.5 lakh (private) per year. BHMS graduates can practise independently, work in homoeopathic hospitals, or join pharmaceutical companies manufacturing homoeopathic medicines. Starting salaries range from Rs 2.5-4 LPA, with experienced practitioners earning 2-3x more through private practice.
