Architecture Undergraduate

Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) is a 5-year professional degree required for practising architecture in India, regulated by the Council of Architecture (CoA). Admission is through NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) and JEE Main Paper 2. Karnataka has 43+ architecture colleges including MS Ramaiah, BMS College of Architecture and Manipal School of Architecture. Annual fees range from Rs 80,000 (government) to Rs 3 lakh (private). The curriculum covers architectural design, building construction, urban planning, landscape architecture, sustainable design and building services. B.Arch graduates can register with CoA and practise as licensed architects. Starting salaries range from Rs 3-6 LPA in Bangalore's booming real estate and construction sector, with experienced architects earning Rs 10-25 LPA. Many graduates also pursue careers in interior design, urban planning, green building consultancy and heritage conservation.
