NIE Mysore

The National Institute of Engineering, known as NIE, was established in 1946 in Mysuru and runs as an autonomous institution under Visvesvaraya Technological University, with UGC autonomy granted in 2005. Its official site lists more than ten departments and research centres in AI, robotics, IoT and 5G. NIE is AICTE approved and NAAC accredited, with validity through 2027, and its UG programmes in CSE, ISE, ECE, mechanical, civil and EEE hold NBA Tier-I accreditation.
