SVS College Bantwal

Sri Venkataramana Swamy College — SVS College — has served Bantwal taluk since 1968, operating as an aided institution affiliated to Mangalore University. NAAC A accreditation with a CGPA of 3.31 positions it well among aided colleges in Dakshina Kannada.

Arts, commerce and management streams define the academic offering. BA programmes cover the standard humanities subjects; BCom and BBM cater to commerce and business management students respectively. MCom at the postgraduate level feeds into accounting and finance career tracks. UGC recognition under 2(f) has been in place since May 1981.

Bantwal's location on the Mangaluru-Mysuru highway makes the college accessible to students from both the coastal lowlands and the Ghats foothills. More than five decades of operation have produced alumni across banking, teaching, local governance and the cooperative sector in the region.
