About Sri Sri College of Ayurvedic Science Bangalore
Sri Sri College of Ayurvedic Science and Research Hospital (SSCASR) was established in 2004 under the Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir (SSRVM) Trust, founded by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. The campus is situated at 21st KM Kanakapura Road, Udayapura, Bengaluru — 560062, directly opposite the Art of Living International Ashram, on a 10-acre campus in the Panchagiri hills. The college is affiliated to RGUHS Bangalore and approved by CCIM and the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
SSCASR holds NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers) accreditation, ISO 9001:2015 certification, and QCI Grade "A." The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) has ranked it 7th nationally and 1st in Bengaluru among private Ayurveda colleges.
Annual intake: 100 BAMS seats and 57 PG seats across MD/MS specialisations. BAMS admission is through NEET UG via KEA AYUSH centralised counselling; BAMS Round 3 General category NEET cutoff rank is approximately 1,39,830. Annual BAMS fee is approximately ₹3.5–4.5 Lakhs. PG admissions use AIAPGET scores.
The attached teaching hospital has 268 beds across all departments, with consistent patient inflow across Kayachikitsa, Panchakarma (40+ treatment rooms), Shalya Tantra, and Kaumarabhritya. The herbal garden maintains over 5,000 medicinal plants covering 550+ species, used for practical training in Dravyaguna. The girls' hostel accommodates up to 500 students with a meditation hall, indoor games, and dining hall.
The college runs an in-house R&D centre producing Ayurvedic formulations under its own brand. BAMS graduates have been placed at Art of Living centres, and companies including Patanjali, Himalaya, and Dabur — with an 85% placement rate reported. Community outreach includes Ayur-jagruti awareness campaigns and rural health camps.
