About Sri Bhuvanendra College
Sri Bhuvanendra College was founded on 1 June 1960 by educationist Dr TMA Pai on a 46-acre campus in Karkala — a scale of land that few degree colleges in Udupi district can match. The institution is affiliated to Mangalore University and holds UGC recognition under 2(f) and 12(B).
Nine programmes span undergraduate and postgraduate levels: BA, BSc, BCom, BBM, BCA and BSW at the UG tier; MCom, MA in Economics and MSc in Mathematics at the PG level. NAAC B accreditation with a CGPA of 3.30 in the third cycle reflects consistent quality benchmarks. Laboratories, a digital library and seminar halls are spread across the spacious campus.
Karkala's Jain heritage sites and its position as a taluk headquarters draw a student population from across Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts. Hostels for men and women are available on campus.
