GPAT 2026
National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), for the Pharmacy Council of India
Written by L K Monu Borkala, Founder & Chief Strategist · Last updated 2 October 2026
GPAT 2026 is the NBEMS test for M.Pharm admission, conducted for the Pharmacy Council of India. It had 125 multiple choice questions for 500 marks in 180 minutes and was held on 7 March 2026. The fee was ₹3,500, or ₹2,500 for SC, ST and PwD candidates.
Many pharmacy graduates still assume GPAT comes from NTA. For the 2026 cycle it did not: NBEMS ran it for the Pharmacy Council of India, and the bulletin is explicit that a score gives no automatic right to a seat or a scholarship. Pharmacy is also one of the larger streams in the state, so a clear picture of the exam helps B.Pharm students planning M.Pharm.
