Jain Institute of Technology

Jain Institute of Technology is a younger addition to Davangere's engineering education landscape, established in 2011. The college provides four-year BE programmes and a two-year MBA under VTU affiliation and AICTE approval. Located in Davangere — a central Karnataka district headquarters with strong connectivity on the Pune–Bangalore highway — the institute serves students from across the Davangere, Chitradurga, and Haveri district cluster.

The engineering curriculum follows VTU's semester-based framework with examinations and evaluation conducted through the university system. The MBA programme adds a professional management qualification to the portfolio, catering to graduates who want to combine technical and business skills without relocating to Bengaluru.

Davangere's position in central Karnataka places JIT within reasonable reach of both Bengaluru and the North Karnataka cities, while offering significantly lower living costs. Hostel accommodation is available for both genders. Admissions to BE seats flow through KCET and COMEDK.
