About IIHM Bangalore
IIHM Bangalore is the Bengaluru campus of the International Institute of Hotel Management, a chain of hospitality education institutions approved by AICTE and the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT). The Bangalore campus was established in 2011 as part of the IIHM network founded by Dr. Suborno Bose of the IndiSmart Group.
The campus offers a BSc (Hons.) in International Hospitality Management in collaboration with the University of West London (UK), a BA in Tourism Studies through IGNOU, and certification programmes in hotel management. The three-year BSc Honours degree carries dual recognition from an Indian approval body and a British university, giving graduates an internationally recognised qualification.
IIHM operates eight campuses across India (Kolkata, Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Goa, and Bangalore) plus international campuses in Bangkok and Samarkand. The network is known for organising the Young Chef Olympiad, an international culinary competition that draws participants from over 55 nations annually.
The Bangalore campus at Indiranagar features training kitchens, restaurant-style service setups, housekeeping labs, a library, computer labs, and smart classrooms. Hostel accommodation is available. IIHM reports a 90-95% placement rate with an average package between Rs 6 and Rs 8 LPA. Top recruiters include Marriott International, Taj Hotels, The Oberoi Group, ITC Hotels, The Leela, Hyatt, Four Seasons, and Accor, along with airlines such as Air India, IndiGo, Emirates, and Qatar Airways. Admission is through IIHM's own e-CHAT entrance examination followed by a personal interview.
