Central University of Karnataka (CUK) is a central university in Kalaburagi (Gulbarga), established by the Central Universities Act, 2009 (an Act of the Parliament of India). Recognised by UGC and a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), CUK holds NAAC B++ grade accreditation and ranked 34th among universities in NIRF 2024.
The university offers 69+ courses across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels through 11 schools: Business Studies, Earth Sciences, Education and Training, Humanities and Languages, Social and Behavioural Sciences, Media Studies, Computer Science, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Engineering, and Legal and Jurisprudence Studies. As a central university, all admissions are conducted exclusively through CUET-UG and CUET-PG; no direct or merit-based admission is accepted.
