Sri Kengal Hanumanthaiya Law College

Sri Kengal Hanumanthaiya Law College is the only law institution serving the Kolar-KGF region, established in 1979 at Marikuppam in Kolar Gold Fields. Named after the former Chief Minister of Mysore State, the college is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi, and approved by the Bar Council of India.

Two programmes form the academic core: the three-year LLB for graduates and the five-year integrated BA LLB for students entering directly after pre-university. Moot court sessions, legal aid clinics and internship placements at district courts supplement classroom instruction.

Kolar district's court complex and the surrounding taluk courts in Bangarpet, Malur and Mulbagal provide a ready practical-training ecosystem for students. The college has produced a steady stream of advocates, judicial officers and legal consultants over its four-decade history.
