SDM College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Hassan, was established in 1984 under the Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara (SDM) Educational Trust -- one of the most respected educational trusts in Karnataka, associated with the renowned Dharmasthala temple administration led by Dr. D.
