Reva University School of Design

Reva University School of Design is part of REVA University, established in 2012 under the Karnataka State Act and recognised by UGC, AICTE, and NAAC with an A+ grade. The university is located on a 45-acre green campus in Yelahanka, close to Kempegowda International Airport in North Bangalore, and has a student strength of over 15,000 across 30+ schools. The School of Design at REVA offers B.Des programmes in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, and Interior Design. The curriculum follows the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and emphasises hands-on learning with mandatory internship components. Design studios are equipped with sewing labs, photography studio, digital design software, and a materials library. Students benefit from the university's 200+ smart classrooms, AR/VR laboratories, and maker spaces shared across schools. REVA University has a dedicated placement cell that connects students with over 621 companies annually. In the 2024-25 placement season, the university received over 4,482 placement offers with a highest package of Rs. 40 LPA across all schools. Design graduates find placements in fashion retail, advertising agencies, interior design firms, and digital media companies across Bangalore. Internship opportunities are supported through the university's industry tie-ups with Bangalore-based design studios and media companies. Scholarships at REVA University include merit-based awards for students with 90% or above in 10+2, sports scholarships with fee waivers, NCC and defence-based scholarships, and need-based financial assistance. Hostel accommodation is available separately for boys and girls at Rs. 1,40,000 to Rs. 2,07,000 per year for boys and Rs. 1,50,000 to Rs. 2,00,000 per year for girls. Premium AC rooms with 2-sharing are available at Rs. 2,75,000 per year. Admission to B.Des is through REVA CET or merit in qualifying exams. The campus also has a healthcare centre, gym, yoga room, food court, NCC, NSS, auditorium, and a guest house called ATITHI for visiting parents.
