About New Horizon College
New Horizon College, located in Kasturinagar, east Bengaluru, is part of the New Horizon Educational Institutions (NHEI) network founded in 1970 by Dr. Mohan Manghnani. The college offers undergraduate programmes in Commerce, Management, and Computer Applications, affiliated to Bengaluru North University following the 2022 bifurcation of Bangalore University into separate city and north jurisdictions.
Programmes include BCom in regular and honours streams, BBA, and BCA. BCom is the largest programme by student enrolment. The curriculum follows Bengaluru North University's choice-based credit system (CBCS), allowing students to select elective papers alongside mandatory core subjects each semester. BCA covers programming languages including C, Java, and Python, along with data structures, database management, and web technologies across six semesters.
The Kasturinagar campus sits in a residential area near the Marathahalli-KR Puram corridor in east Bengaluru. Campus facilities include a library with INFLIBNET access, computer laboratories, Wi-Fi connectivity, and indoor recreation areas. The college conducts campus recruitment drives through its placement cell, connecting final-year students with employers in banking, IT services, retail, and business process outsourcing sectors.
NHEI's broader educational network includes New Horizon College of Engineering (autonomous, NAAC A+ grade), New Horizon PU College, and New Horizon International School, all operating across Bengaluru. Degree college students benefit from shared infrastructure, inter-institutional academic and cultural events, and a wider alumni network spanning engineering, management, and liberal arts disciplines. Admissions are processed annually based on II PUC or equivalent marks through the college's direct application window.
