KLS Gogte Institute of Technology

KLS Gogte Institute of Technology has been part of Belagavi's educational landscape since 1979, making it one of the earliest private engineering colleges in North Karnataka. The 28-acre campus at Udyambag accommodates roughly 2,800 undergraduate and 240 postgraduate students across multiple engineering and management programmes.

The institute operates as an autonomous institution under Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. Named after industrialist Raosaheb Gogte, it has built a reputation for strong placement numbers in the North Karnataka region. Administrative staff exceeds 300, and the institution received the "Excellent Technical Education Institute in Karnataka" award in 2014. Indian President Ram Nath Kovind addressed a gathering at the campus in September 2018.

Admissions follow the standard KCET and COMEDK counselling routes. The campus is AICTE-approved and maintains hostel facilities for men and women.
