About Kanachur Institute of Para Medical Sciences
Kanachur Institute of Para Medical Sciences is a private paramedical college in Mangaluru, Karnataka, established in 2016 under the Kanachur Islamic Education Trust. The institute operates as part of the broader Kanachur group of institutions, sharing its 25-acre campus at Natekal, Deralakatte with the Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) and the attached Kanachur Hospital.
Affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru, the institute offers seven paramedical programmes: B.Sc Optometry, B.Sc Medical Laboratory Technology, B.Sc Renal Dialysis Technology, B.Sc Medical Imaging Technology, B.Sc Anaesthesia Technology, B.Sc Operation Theatre Technology, and a four-year Bachelor of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP). All other programmes run for three years.
Students benefit from hands-on clinical training through the attached hospital, which houses diagnostic and therapeutic departments covering radiology, pathology, nephrology, and surgical services. The campus provides clinical laboratories, a well-stocked library, computer facilities, separate hostels for men and women, a medical centre, and transportation services. The group employs over 170 faculty members across its institutions.
Admission to undergraduate paramedical courses typically requires a 10+2 qualification with science subjects. The Mangaluru location, a major educational hub in coastal Karnataka, gives students access to multiple hospitals and healthcare facilities for internship training and clinical exposure during their degree programme.
