Jain University

Jain (Deemed-to-be University), headquartered in Bengaluru, received deemed university status from the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 2009 under Section 3 of the UGC Act. The institution traces its origins to Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College, established in 1990 by Dr. Chenraj Roychand, and has since expanded into a multi-disciplinary university offering over 200 programmes across undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and diploma levels.

Jain University operates through constituent schools spread across several Bengaluru campuses: the Centre for Management Studies (CMS) at Jayanagar, the School of Engineering and Technology at Jakkasandra on Kanakapura Road, the School of Commerce at VV Puram, the School of Sciences at JC Road, and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. Key undergraduate programmes include BTech, BCom, BBA, BCA, BA, BSc, B.Des, and integrated five-year dual-degree options in select disciplines.

The university holds NAAC A grade accreditation and ranked 65th among universities in the NIRF 2024 rankings.
