About HKBK Degree College
HKBK Degree College, established in 1997 in Nagavara, north Bengaluru, is part of the HKBK group of educational institutions founded by C.M. Ibrahim, a former Union Minister and veteran Karnataka politician. The college operates on a 17-acre campus along Nagavara Main Road, within 2 kilometres of Manyata Tech Park, and holds affiliation to Bangalore University for its undergraduate programmes.
The college offers BBA, BCom, and BCA as its core programmes. BCom is available in regular and specialised streams including BCom with Computer Applications and BCom with Professional Accounting. BCA students study programming languages, database management, and software development through six semesters of coursework. The BBA programme covers marketing, finance, human resource management, and entrepreneurship modules across its three-year duration.
HKBK holds NAAC accreditation with a B grade. The Nagavara campus houses computer laboratories, a central library with digital access and journal subscriptions, and seminar halls equipped for guest lectures and industry interaction sessions. HKBK College of Engineering and HKBK PU College share the same campus grounds, creating a multi-level educational cluster spanning pre-university through engineering education on a single site.
The college location near Hebbal and the Outer Ring Road places students within commuting distance of the Manyata-Hebbal technology corridor, where companies including IBM, Cognizant, and Infosys maintain regional offices. This proximity supports internship opportunities for BCA and BBA students during their final year. The institution runs a placement assistance cell and career guidance programme for graduating students. Admissions are conducted through direct applications following II PUC results each year.
