Government Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, Mysuru

Government Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Mysuru, is a state government institution under the Department of AYUSH, Government of Karnataka. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore, and recognised by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM). It is one of the prominent government Ayurveda institutions in Karnataka, located in Mysuru -- a city with a long tradition of Yoga and traditional medicine, often referred to as the Yoga capital of India.

The college offers BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) -- 5.5 years (4.5 academic + 1-year compulsory internship) -- and MD Ayurveda at postgraduate level. Admission is through NEET followed by AYUSH counselling via KEA. Karnataka domicile candidates compete for 85% state quota seats; the remaining 15% are All-India quota seats via national AYUSH counselling. Minimum NEET: 50% General (40% SC/ST/OBC).
