About DRM Science College
DRM Science College traces its origins to 1947, when it began as a government intermediate college in the pre-independence era. That makes it one of the oldest higher-education institutions in central Karnataka. The college is now affiliated to Davangere University and carries NAAC B accreditation as it prepares for its fourth assessment cycle.
BSc programmes cover the core science disciplines — Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology and Computer Science. The four-acre campus comprises four academic blocks housing laboratories, lecture halls and a central library. UGC recognition under 2(f) and 12(B) has been in place for several decades, enabling access to research grants and infrastructure funding.
As a government-aided institution, DRM offers among the lowest fee structures for science education in the Davangere region, drawing students from across Davangere, Chitradurga, Haveri and Shivamogga districts.
