I am confused about KCET and COMEDK UGET. Which exam should I prepare for? Can I take both? What is the difference in terms of colleges, seats, and difficulty?

KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) is conducted by KEA for admission to government and aided engineering colleges in Karnataka. COMEDK UGET is for private engineering colleges. Key differences: KCET covers Physics, Chemistry, Math plus 12th marks (50:50 weightage). COMEDK is purely entrance exam based. You can and should take both exams to maximise your options. KCET gives access to cheaper government seats while COMEDK gives access to more private college options. Most students prepare for both as the syllabus overlaps significantly.
