About Regional Institute of Education
Regional Institute of Education (RIE) Mysuru is a premier national-level institution under the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). Established in 1963, it is one of five RIEs in India and serves the southern region. The institute offers B.Sc B.Ed, B.A B.Ed, M.Ed, and Ph.D programmes. RIE Mysuru graduates are among the most sought-after teacher education alumni in South India, with placements in Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, and state government schools. The campus has a model school for student teaching practice. Hostel available for boys and girls.
