Nitte School of Architecture Planning and Design

Nitte School of Architecture, Planning and Design (NSAPD), formerly known as Nitte Institute of Architecture, is a constituent unit of Nitte (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru. Established in 2016, the school operates from its campus in Yelahanka, Bengaluru, co-located with Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology.

NSAPD holds approvals from the Council of Architecture (CoA), AICTE, the Institute of Town Planners of India (ITPI), and the Government of Karnataka. The parent university carries a NAAC A+ accreditation. In NIRF 2024, the school ranked 66th in the Architecture category across India.

The school offers B.Arch (five years, 80 seats), B.Plan (four years, 40 seats), B.Des with specialisations in UI/UX Design, Product Design, and Communication Design (four years), and M.Plan in Urban and Regional Planning (two years). NSAPD is notably the only institution in Bengaluru offering an AICTE-approved B.Plan programme.

With 42 faculty members including five doctoral holders, the school emphasises a techno-creative approach that integrates technical proficiency with critical thinking and social responsibility. Over 50 architecture and planning firms partner with NSAPD for internships and placements, offering student stipends between Rs 3,000 and Rs 8,000 per month. The 2-acre campus includes 3,500+ square metres of built-up space with dedicated studios, workshops, model-making labs, and a digital fabrication facility.
