Manipal College of Nursing

Manipal College of Nursing, established in 1973, is a constituent institution of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) — a deemed university with NAAC A++ accreditation, the highest institutional grade awarded by NAAC in India. It is one of the oldest nursing colleges in the country and runs B.Sc Nursing (4 years), Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (2 years), M.Sc Nursing across five specialisations — Medical-Surgical, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatric, Psychiatric, and Community Health Nursing — and a PhD Nursing programme. Clinical training is conducted at Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, a 1,800+ bed tertiary care and teaching hospital with active departments in cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, oncology, neonatology, nephrology, and organ transplantation. The breadth of clinical exposure at Kasturba is genuinely exceptional by Indian standards — nursing students rotate through ICUs, OTs, emergency departments, and speciality wards covering virtually every clinical nursing domain.
