The college operates on a campus of approximately 25 acres with academic blocks, a library, science laboratories, and open grounds for sports and NCC/NSS activities. BSc is offered with Physics-Chemistry-Mathematics and Chemistry-Botany-Zoology combinations across six semesters each.
Byndoor is a small coastal town on NH-66 (formerly NH-17), situated approximately 70 kilometres south of Udupi city and 100 kilometres north of Mangaluru. The town sits between the Arabian Sea coast and the Western Ghats foothills, supporting a mixed economy of fishing, areca nut cultivation, and small-scale trade. The nearby Maravanthe Beach, where NH-66 runs as a narrow strip between the Arabian Sea on one side and the Suparnika River on the other, is one of Karnataka's most distinctive coastal stretches and a well-known landmark along the western coast highway.
As a government college under the Department of Collegiate Education, Karnataka, tuition fees are state-prescribed and minimal. The institution serves students from fishing communities, agricultural families, and small business households along the Udupi-Uttara Kannada coastal belt. SC/ST, OBC, and economically backward students access state and central scholarship schemes for financial support. The college is the only government degree institution within Byndoor taluk, with the nearest alternatives located in Kundapura (30 km north) and Baindur (15 km south). Admissions follow II PUC results through Mangalore University's annual admission calendar.
