Two decades of Karnataka college admissions — under one roof
CollegesInfo Admissions is the dedicated medical admission counselling division of OneCity Technologies Pvt Ltd — a Bangalore-based education technology company founded in 2004. We built CollegesInfo.org, a database of 1,012+ Karnataka colleges, and have extended that knowledge into direct, personalised admission guidance.
Our counsellors have worked with families across Karnataka and the Gulf region to navigate NEET counselling, KEA allotment rounds, management quota applications, and NRI quota processes. We do not charge students or parents any counselling fee.
We are transparent about what we can and cannot do: we cannot guarantee a specific seat — but we provide honest, data-backed guidance throughout.

Medical admission questions — answered clearly
Based on current NMC regulations and Karnataka KEA process for 2025.
For Karnataka state quota MBBS through KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority) counselling, the NEET cutoff for General category is typically 550–600 marks. For management quota seats in private medical colleges, the NMC minimum qualifying score is 200 marks (General) and 150 marks (SC/ST/OBC). Top colleges like Kasturba Medical College, Manipal require 640+ marks even for management quota. Management quota MBBS fees range from ₹65 lakhs to ₹1.2 crore for the full 5.5-year course (as per NMC-regulated fee structures for Karnataka, 2025).
NEET is not required for BSc Nursing in Karnataka. Instead, candidates must appear for KCET (Karnataka CET) conducted by KEA. Admission is through KEA counselling based on KCET rank. Eligibility is 10+2 with PCB subjects and minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST). Admissions are through Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) nursing counselling or direct admission. Some deemed universities like Manipal and Yenepoya conduct their own entrance tests.
BSc Nursing is a 4-year degree offering better career growth, higher salaries, and eligibility for PG (MSc Nursing). It also meets international registration requirements for employment in UK, Australia and Gulf countries. GNM is a 3-year diploma that allows faster entry into clinical nursing. If long-term career advancement is the goal, BSc Nursing is recommended.
Management quota seats are 15% of a private medical college's intake, filled outside KEA counselling. Process: (1) Clear NEET with NMC minimum score; (2) Approach college directly or through a consultant; (3) College issues provisional admission offer; (4) Pay fees directly to the college — never to a middleman; (5) Receive admission order. Fees are ₹65L–₹1.2Cr for the full course.
- NEET-UG 2025 scorecard and rank letter
- 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates
- Transfer Certificate from previous institution
- Domicile/nativity certificate (for state quota)
- Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS if applicable)
- Aadhaar card and passport photos
- Parent income certificate
Top MBBS colleges in Mangalore: (1) Kasturba Medical College, Manipal — NAAC A++, management quota ~₹85L–₹1Cr; (2) Father Muller Medical College — ~₹65–75L; (3) Yenepoya Medical College — ~₹70–80L; (4) A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences — ~₹60–75L; (5) K.S. Hegde Medical Academy — ~₹70–85L.
BPT is a 4.5-year programme (4 years + 6 months internship). NEET is not required. Eligibility: 10+2 with PCB, 50% marks. Fees: ₹40,000–₹1 lakh per year. Top BPT colleges: Manipal College of Health Professions, SDM College of Physiotherapy Dharwad, RV College of Physiotherapy Bangalore, Father Muller College of Allied Health Sciences Mangalore.
For government quota MBBS, competitive scores (550+) are required. For management quota, the NMC minimum is 200 marks (General). Some private colleges accept near-minimum scores for management quota seats. Students with NEET below 350 should also explore BDS, BSc Nursing, BPT or B.Pharma — strong careers that don't require NEET (except BDS). We give honest, realistic guidance based on your actual score.
