JSS Ayurveda Medical College

JSS Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital (JSSAMCH), established in 1996-97, is run by JSS Mahavidyapeetha under the guidance of Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji -- the same trust that manages JSSATE Bangalore, JSS Medical College Mysuru, and a network of institutions across Karnataka. The campus is located at 41/E, Lalithadripura Road, Alanahalli, Mysuru -- Karnataka 570023, at the foothills of the famous Chamundi Hills, close to the Lalita Mahal Hotel -- one of the more distinctive campus locations among BAMS colleges in Karnataka. The 15-acre green campus is within Mysuru city, giving students access to a major urban healthcare ecosystem while studying in a calm environment. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore, approved by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), New Delhi, and the Ministry of AYUSH. The attached hospital holds NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals) accreditation.

BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery): 54 seats per year. 5.5-year programme (4.5 academic + 1-year compulsory internship). Admission via NEET + KEA Karnataka AYUSH counselling. Annual fee: approximately Rs 2.5 lakh/year. PG: MD and MS Ayurveda across 5 specialisations -- Swasthavritta, Shalyatantra, Rasashastra, Dravyaguna Vijnana, and Panchakarma. PG admission via AIAPGET. Foreign nationals: eligibility certificate from RGUHS and clearance from MHRD required.
